Wow. I had no idea the Nissan Titan was such an underdeveloped POS.

Door handles freezing; gas sloshing out and drenching the customer, differentials burning out after towing well below the rated limit, and Nissan refusing the warranty alot of the parts.

Word of this came apparent as we were bitching about how the Ridgeline was named Motor Trends Truck of the Year.

So I went onto the Nissan Titan chat forums and what do I see?

For people lazy to click, a few colorful highlights.

Titan is rated highest to tow out of all Truck manufacturers are 9500 lbs.

    Additionally,

    And lastly,

:eek3: Any Nissan Sackriders/Nazi's care to put input on this?

in my family, we have 2 nissan maxima's, 2 g35's and 1 fx35. the one maxima is an older one and it's great. no problems. the two g's are also great. both the 2005 maxima and the fx are pretty bad. the maxima i will never purchase again. ever. the fx has a leaking sunroof when going through a car wash and it's "normal" because it's high pressure. yet when i take another vehicle of theirs, the g through the same car wash, no problems. go figure.

all this to say that i obviously love nissan/infiniti and have been very loyal to them. the 05 maxima had one of the worst problems that i have ever experienced on a vehicle. i also had a 03 maxima but someone hit me and i sold it after getting it repaired. didn't even have my plates on it yet...

anyway, the quality control of nissan is absolute crap now. sad thing is, it's starting to also show up on the infiniti's. so sad how people are loyal to this company even though the almost bankrupt years, yet they treat us like they do when they sell us absolute crap.

sorry, but for me it's either bmw, which i've always criticized up to now or lexus. no more of this infiniti crap. why not benz? well they're worse off than infiniti right now. they are in heaps of trouble.

what do you expect from a company that puts out such an atrocity as the 350z?

oh yea, just an fyi, within 2 weeks of purchasing the 05 maxima, the rear side panel snapped out of place. nothing touched or anything of that nature, it just snapped out of place. ok...so then a few days later the passenger seat belt panel snaps out of place also. then no joke, the driver side does. i go into the dealership to tell them all of this and they're like are you jumping this car?

YEA YOU FRICKEN MORONS, I HAVE NOTHING ELSE TO DO WITH MY TIME THAN TO TAKE A $35,000 BRAND NEW VEHICLE AND DRIVE IT THROUGH THE MALL OF AMERICA PARKING LOT JUMPING THINGS!lc

sad thing is the sales manager and i know each other pretty well and sadly to say we had to end our business relationship because i was so frustrated at them. he heard through the grapevine that i was looking at the fx35 because i was so frustrated with the maxima and he's like, oh we have some great ml350 benzes here for you to look at. i told him to basically screw off and that i wouldn't be back in his sales floor again.

That's pretty atrocious. Not unexpected given it's the first year of production for the truck and I'm sure it will get better. It's bullshit that Nissan isn't fixing the problems though. I've never had any problems with our Nissan's though, maxima, xterra and altima :dunno:
