Did anyone else feel like Gilneas is loosely reminiscent of the werewolf town in Fable/Fable II? The setting, the colors, the music, even the people seemed so similar to it. :o

Yes really, most people who whine about pre-bc servers or pre-wrath servers will never make it past 30, the level grind is pathetically slow, i remember it taking well over a month, maybe 2 weeks of powerleveling to get to 60 and then you had to farm 5 mans with a bunch of idiots who wore spirit plate (not always their fault....) and didnt know how to CC.

    :ugh:

Well for starters, vanilla servers would only cater to those who actually WANT to do lvl 60 raiding @ lvl 60. Blizzard can retune the xp for faster grinding. :hsugh: You know, they do own the game and all. :coolugh: Oh and then you don't need to open fifty servers. Five or six would do just fine. :mamoru: Though I think vanilla would probably have more people than tBC. :o It doesn't matter really. I'm leaving wow next month anyway.

Hasn't the deserted battlegrounds for those who stopped at 60 taught anyone anything? It's too small of a niche and isn't worth blizzards resources.

The problem is people THINK they want to raid at level 60, look at all the pre-bc guilds that utterly FAILED. Getting 40, hell 30 people is very hard to do and when its a niche group like that, it will be harder. 5 people have a game/class they need to go to? tough shit you wont be downing rag this week.
Then is it truly Pre-BC? Which talent tree versions would there be? 1.11 talents were certainly different from 1.3 and while 2.0 talents were technically not pre-bc they were very class defining (GL w/o devastate/felguard/etc., most players dont know how to play like in pre-bc)

You picked a good time to quit, im personally waiting until 3.3 comes out (a few more months hopefully) before leveling my toons up and when 3.4 comes out ill probably have a few 80s ready for Cataclysm (i must be the only person who likes the changes, i swear people are so afraid of change)

That's true, the problem is the people on forums crying for pre-bc servers are the only people that really want it, maybe 4-500 people which isnt even 1/10th of the playerbase of a server

I use a classic account for my 60 twink and it wouldn't be possible to complete MC or BWL without the help of a few 80s since our guild never has enough on.

Never said it was going to be easy.

Last patch before 2.0.1 (not sure what the patch was that introduced the early tBC stuff before launch). Of course blizzard can modify the talents and such anyway to fit old world raiding.

If I had a guild that I gave a damn about maybe I'd stay longer. I haven't even seen the second and third tier of Ulduar. :hsd:

There is no way in hell Blizz is going to spend the time and money to not only run a server for those 4-500 people, but to maintain a ruleset and deal with class balances for that small a number.

Yes, a lvl 60 max server would probably see a good amount of life for a few months maybe, but then what? It is not like they are going to add new content to those servers. They would die really fast as people go back to their main server to play with all the new toys.

Exactly. I have a 60 myself and I agree with you. I just hope they keep that they keep a 60 version of the pre bc raids they are updating. :o

PVP gear is pretty straight forward to get. T 1,2,2.5 is still a hassle to get which makes it more fun.
