Wounded deer attacks Missouri hunter who shot him
    http://www.bnd.com/breaking_news/story/561511.html

SEDALIA, Mo. -- A Sedalia hunter bagged a big buck on the second day of firearms season, but the kill caused him a lot of pain.

Forty-nine-year-old Randy Goodman said he thought two well-placed shots with his .270-caliber rifle had killed the buck on Nov. 19. Goodman said the deer looked dead to him, but seconds later the nine-point, 240-pound animal came to life.

The buck rose up, knocked Goodman down and attacked him with his antlers in what the veteran hunter called "15 seconds of hell." The deer ran a short distance and went down, and died after Goodman fired two more shots.

Soon Goodman started feeling dizzy and noticed his vest was soaked in blood.

So he reached his truck and drove to a hospital, where he received seven staples in his scalp and was treated for a slight concussion and bruises.

If he'd have used 10mm, the deer would have been in 50 different pieces, and precooked. He could have had a tasty bbq venison dinner before going home.

I need a 20 to go with my 29 that I can trick out for hunting :hs:

Bunch of anti hunting faggots in the comments section of that page saying more hunters should be attacked by deer, hope they all hit one and get impaled by the rack.

A deer full of adrenaline is not fun. My buddy almost got hit by a spike.

This happened to my dad. He was walking out to the tree stand and an eight-point buck came outta the woods charging him. Before he was even to the tree. He shot it in the chest with a 30/30 lever action twice before it ran away. He never fucking found it.

but seriously isn't .270 a little on the light side for a big buck? this is why i love me some 30-06 baby

and obviously those "well placed" shots weren't that great

I shoot my deer in the neck, they don't get back up and fight afterward. 7.62x54R + deer neck = no problems.

.270 is plenty for any US deer. If he shot it twice and it wasn't dead, then he shot it in the wrong damn place or is using some seriously stupid loads. I've never had to shoot a deer more than once, but I always go for heart/lung and I always use Winchester Silver Tips.

That's sooo funny. This is why we should be allowed to mount bayonets on our guns. And those silly Brady Bunch fags say we don't have a "legitimate sporting purpose" to bayonets. Seriously.
