if someone was to right a book, it will be a story but it actually happened, about various drugs and the effect it had on them personally and how they saw it effect others (with a sad ending). Would you read it?

No offense, but I don't think your sob story about your friend who spends 3-4 days a week spun out is really novel or even dramatic enough to be the basis for an interesting/successful book.

The world is more fucked up today than it was yesterday. A person today would have to be pretty damn naive to read your book-to-be and think "Oh how sad./Wow this kind of thing happened to me./I've learned so much."

Think about it...meth is nothing new. It's been around since the 60s. The only difference is, more people know more about it now. <--that would be sort of a contraindication for writing a book on something.

I apologize if i seem like a dick. I know your intentions are good, but we don't need another cloned sob story. What do we need? If I knew that I wouldn't be here typing in this forum...

Innovation would have to be the pull for this book. And I agree with these people. Your idea doesn't have much of that

no offense, but IF you do write a book, take it to an editor.

and i'm assuming you have personal experience in this area, have you considered giving presentations in classrooms? at my school, we have a 50(some) year old who gives presentations on drug abuse. he's done it all, and has the best stories. great information, motivator, eye opener, etc. i would think THAT would be much more effective than a book for drug awareness.

    ps. not like DARE.
