That makes me sick. HOw do all those people just stand there and watch him get pounded on like that? I mean the guy is not being agressive beyond words and that retard just keeps on. I bet if any 2 or 3 of those guys grew some fucking balls they would be able to kick that idiot out the door!

I agree that at no point was a carry weapon justified in that unless you were the only one in there, that's about the only way a "feared for my life" plea would cover it I think. Either way, in that little shop you'd pretty much have to shoot him the instant you presented it. Either he would run or he'd be on top of you in an instant.

    Fuckin retards....

That's what I thought he meant too. I would say if you are the only other one in the shop then you might be on decent footing trying to stop him from killing the other guy, at least in presenting a weapon and firing in the event he turned on you. I know you don't display it without intent to fire but at that point I would think you have reasonable cause to think he might kill that guy since he kept at it long after the guy was incapacitated and be justified in trying to save him with force.

of course I'm no lawyer and logic has no place in law....

That seriously makes me sick. If I was in there and I saw the first punch I'd pull. If he came any closer or made threatening moves to me to me I'd unload. He could have easily killed that one guy.

I would have beat the guy's ass. The dude didn't know how the hell to fight, would have been pretty easy.

I think in Texas that would be considered defense of another which I *believe* is OK. Just like the guy that went into the grocery store and got in a shoot out with the crooks that were inside.

Deadly force is justified to prevent commission of a violent felony.
    This would fit the bill.

Not here in Texas. You can come to someone's aid and legally shoot.

Unless I was carrying my fists would be of no use in that situation. I would basically then be putting my safety in the hopes others would follow my steps and help. But would they?

I have to think that I would have tried to intervene in some way, carrying or not. I would def hope that SOMEONE in that crowd would grow some fuckin balls, unless of course he said something that made them feel he deserved it (no idea what he was saying on the phone) Either way, I don't think shit like that is warranted regardless of words and I would try to break it up, even if dragged into it.

I really wouldnt want to pull a gun on that guy, especially in a crowded pizza place where there are workers/patrons just about everywhere you look. If I had an expandable baton, I might try to get a few cheap shots in on the guy in an attempt to knock him out, but beyond that I really wouldnt want to put myself in a situation to get my head smashed in. I'm not broly, and if I dont feel threatened, I'm not going to put myself in a situation where I could get crushed.

It wasn't sarcasm. Even though the guy getting beat up wasn't that big the punches the guy was throwing would be easy to block or at least deflect.

I'm kind of biased though because I'm 6'6" and 245.

Old Video, but I'd have Pulled out on him and made him get on the ground until the cops came. Wouldn't care if I was going to jail for it or not. Citizens arrest bitches :mamoru:

bystander effect. If other people are around then they are going to stand there thinking that somebody else will or have already taken action.
