I really don't understand what you're saying. If I like something, I make an attempt at figuring out if I could somehow fit it and pair it with other items. :dunno:

I don't categorize my pieces of clothing into styles unlike you, so I wear what I like without regard to their 'style.' For example, I've been told that one of my outfits looks very "goth lolita" but I don't think the individual pieces are intrinsically "gothic lolita"-- it's just in how I put the outfit together, but I don't intentionally make outfits to look any sort of 'style' ... having a gothic lolita looking outfit was unintentional. I use those individual pieces to make other outfits too which give off a completely different 'style' :dunno:

and I also like mixing items that people wouldn't normally put together. make it work

This. Wear what you like. If you see something 'subcultural' you can generally find a more subtle way than the club goers who take it to the level of absurdity to work it into your own style.

I might dress like a goth but that's only because I think goth chicks are hot

^ I think jacy said it better than I did. my style varies a lot. I look slightly homosexual in my last fit, and I look like a manly lumberjack in others. just wear what you like :dunno:

liking a piece of clothing and actually wearing it are two different things for me, regardless of style. some things look great on the rack, but then look awful when you try it on.
