A&P would you buy this camera

    so this local guy is selling his Nikon D200 w/ D200 grip that flew of a car while doing some pics :rofl: he said it is stuck on manual mode but can be fixed, what would you guys think i should offer if it is worth buying ..here are some pics

    If that includes both batteries and the charger, sure.

    Id make sure it AFs/Meters/Fires first though.

    i dont think it includes the batteries/charger as he didn't mention it but i'll ask

    what's AFs/meters/fires...i'm a noob :o

    Make sure that it autofocuses accurately, meters properly (the light meter?...If the camera is stuck on manual, you should probably learn about this...), and that the shutter works ok from slow to fast shutter speeds.

    idk, he got a D700 and is getting rid of this one, i know the guy selling and plan on looking if i decide to go for it

    as far as getting a decent one, idk what they go for, some guy was selling a D200 w/ grip and some lens for like $900 on ot a while back i believe

    i just saw some on CL in NY for 500...so figure you can hold out and find one for 400-450. Is it worth saving 200-250 to get a possibly way more f'd up camera? Then if you want to fix it or if it really breaks...there's the difference.

    as long as the meter and shutter work ok. manual mode ftw anyways. would make a great backup camera. :cool:

    batteries, charger, and that grip alone are worth more than 200 bucks.
