I recently took over this page to help out a friend. People seem to like the page but I thought I'd get your input. Can you guys also give some specific comments on your thoughts around having an entry page that you must click to get to the site?

    Thanks very much.

    It's about what I'd expect for a small restaurant/pub/bar/etc.

    I've certainly seen worse.

I would either add more prices, so you have a complete menu, or remove the prices that you have on there.

Why tell the user how much it costs to add bacon to a salad but not tell them how much the salad costs?

A .pdf of the full menu like they'll see when they go in is handy, too.

I'd take off the splash page and just have it go directly to the site.

Yea, only time I ever go to a restaurants website is to make a pick up order or make a reservation. So for me, no current menu = fail. This looks like more of a bar though, so maybe not as important, but like White Stormy said, if you feel the need to list the bacon prices then :dunno:

Yeah that's one of the main things I intend to do. I need to get those other prices off there. And for some reason it's been hard to get the menu out of them (it's changed a bit since that was put up there).

I'm terrible on the creative side, but very strong technically. What are your thoughts for a 'nicer' nav menu?

this too, I'm not really feeling that nav menu either. I'd ditch that table and go w/ some css'ed <ul>'s :hsd:.

I got rid of the intro page, added some new pics to the front page and added a few things. The navbar is still the same, though I may change this in the future. Look a bit better now?

try playing with different fonts on the main page. times always feels like the person was too lazy to find something that looked better

maybe try building the address and hours into the header? the most likely reason im on your site is to find out where you're located and when your open!

Good point. I'll look around and see if I can find a nice example to mimic.
