I live in Minneapolis and will probably protest the Republican National Convention that is being held here in Fall.

I plan on using a sign that says "THE MSP AIRPORT BATHROOMS ARE THAT WAY --->" or something to the effect. I will also be handing out maps with directions to the airport bathrooms.

Now I must ask, as a homosexual, would this offend you? It's not my intention to attack the gay community; I simply want to rub in some of the hypocritical, repressive, boy-loving scandals that have plagued the GOP.

    What say you?

Personally I don't mind any kind of gay jokes or what now. What really offends me are the whole "god doesn't love fags" shit and actual gay protests. So no it wouldn't offend me, only anti-gay protests would =)

I'm a gay Republican and I think it sounds funny not offensive. I'm not sure how effective it will be as a protest though.

I'm not offended, it seems to be a jab at Republicans, boy-lovers and bathroom meet-ups before it even treads on homo-territory.

I'm a bi-Republican and I wouldn't be offended. Of course, I despise "Politically Correct" and all of the whininess that goes along with that crap.

I don't think your "protest" would be very effective though.

Anti-gay huh? So what do you think of Hilaries and Obamas stand on gay marriage? (They both oppose it)

Oh, and to the OP, write anything you like, protests at conventions do nothing. So have fun wasting your time, and will anyone even remember what your trying to bring back to life?

Agreed... they are against gay marriage... but they don't want to change the US constitution to prevent gay marriage (like Huckabee and Romney want to do)

Hillary and Obama are fine with allowing states to determine if they will allow gay marriage.

You're idea could be misconstrued as stereotyping gays as promiscuous and dirty.

You could do pamphlets with ..THE REAL REPUBLICAN AGENDA..could be found here...

Well Huckabee never had a chance, and now romney is out, so that leaves mc cain who has the same views as hilary and obama. im just trying to point out that there is no one party or candidate thais is better or worse for the gays. once you do your research instead of listenting to the media, you may be enlightned.

I understand your point... not a lot separates McCain from Clinton...

However, I disagree with your contention that no one party is better or worse for gays.

The Democratic party is clearly better for gays. In Massachusetts, which is a clearly Democratic state, the Democrats in power have fought for, and won, gay marriage.

Communities and states that are Republican-leaning do not even have the option for healthy debate about gay marriage.

And under G.W.Bush, the federal constutution was almost re-written to forbid gays from getting married... Why? Becuase he was a conservative Christian Republican.

Why support a party that doesn't support you?

Meanwhile, here is Hillary's statement to the LBGT community:

Oh, there are a lot. Not all of us are single issue voters. Personally, I care a lot more about national security/winning the war on terror, lower taxes, etc. than gay marriage. In fact I think civil unions are a better idea anyhow.
