A&P Would the Sigma 10-20mm work with my D40?

    as far as autofocus goes. Ive got a 50mm 1.8 now that wont auto focus. :wtc: I knew that it wouldnt autofocus, but I dont use it as much because it doesnt.

    If it has "HSM" yes, if not, no.

    The 10-20 is HSM, so yes, it will autofocus on the D40.
    If you want a prime that will autofocus, buy my sigma 30mm f/1.4 hsm :o

    but thanks for that info. now i gotta sell my kit 18-55 and the 50mm i have, buy the 18-200VR and the 10-20 sigma
