I have a 1997 Oldsmobile Aurora. It has a muscular feel to it, but is luxurious as well. Is it American Luxury or American Muscle? When I'm cruising, I can barely hear it, but when I put my foot down, those dual exhausts make a spine-shuddering rumble. Verdict?

    I think it looks muscular.
And does anyone know any problem points i should look for. I'm getting the rear engine seal and wheel bearings replaced, is there anything else?

Thats one of the ugliest cars I've seen in the past 24 hours, and i just walked past a Ford Escort with a hideous body kit.

    Sorry!

mustangs are dogs...my stock 2002 maxima SEDAN smoked a 260hp 03 gt and a brand new 300 hp 2006 gt today ran even with me. ford's modern muscle car can't even out-accelerate an older 4 door sedan.

FWD has nothing to do with whether the car is muscle or not. What matters is whether it can put the power to the ground. Yes, a rigid rear driveaxle is the easiest way to do this, but it's not the only way.

What kind of engine does your Aurora have? What is its 0-60 and 1/4mile time? These things will help determine whether your car is muscle.

Its a 4.0 Northstar V8. The 0-60 according to my G-Timer was 6.9 seconds. Taking it to the track tomorrow to do a 1/4 mile run. And the sound is spine shuddering.

    Taken from the web,
250hp 0-60 in 8.2 and it weighs just under 4000lbs which doesn't matter I guess, but still. Doesn't look the part, or have the performance imo. Probably a good cruiser though.

It doesnt look that nice, but its an amazing drive. It has an aftermarket Eaton supercharger, which may help in performance.

Can't do a proper burnout with AWD, so I'm pretty sure it doesn't count.
