To go from a 2003 honda accord with about 97000 miles on it to a 2003 bmw 330xi awd with about 90,000 miles on it?

Would I notice any performance differences? also is the reliability really bad for these bmws? I can do almost all of the maintenance myself I have the availability of a auto shop which I can use

performance will be day and night, as will handling, road control, and sophistication. maintenance will be a pricey affair for parts; doing teh labor yourself will save you roughly the cost of raising a child, but these cars are complex and sophisticated, so...

Uhhh...not anytime, but most of the time. I would take a NSX-R over a Z8 anyday.

What is the big difference between the 03's and the 04s? Is it just the tranny?

also are there any other good awd European cars around the same price range?

depends. 2004's have LED tail lights, different sound system controls and functions (internally) and are bluetooth compatible (usually), there are a few other minor things.

I don't know what the price range is, but look into Volvo. AWD is available on a lot of models.

What models should I look at? I honestly have never really payed attention to volvo.

Can you or someone give me a quick synopsis of there different models :noes:

Oh and while we are at does audi have anything worthwhile? I heard they have shitty reliability though.

Audi has Quattro son. It is  Definitely worth looking into. Their reliability used to be the shits, but I've heard it's better now. :dunno:

As far as Volvo goes, there are 3 sedans offered. S40 (compact), S60 (midsized), and S80 (you guessed it...fullsize). The S40 and S60 have wagon variants. There is a hatchback, a convertible, and crossovers. I believe pretty much all are available with AWD. The S60R has a 300 HP 300 TQ AWD drivetrain. Most models are available with a variant of the 2.5L 5cyl turbo (including the aforementioned R models), but there are also NA 5 cyls, NA and turbo 6 cyls, and a V8. This is pretty much newer stuff (04+).

I'd look into an S60R. I believe they can be had relatively cheap.

    They make 5cyl engines? I didn't know that :p

I never have really seen the advantage in having a 5cyl engine seems like it would only complicate things.

Anywho I will look into it thanks
