    i usually do

    mon - chest/tri
    tue - back/bi
    wed - shoulders
    thur - legs
    sun - legs

would it be less beneficial if i did half my leg workout today because i did shoulders in the morning and i got some time in the evening, and tomorrow just finish it off with the other half.

    What if you split though?

For instance I do legs twice a week (seperated by 4 days between each other usually).

I do a day of pressing movements: Squat, leg press, lunges, box jumps

Then a day of isolated movements: Stiff leg deads, leg curls, leg extensions, calves.

It's been working pretty good for me so far. Vertical is up, strength is up, and they are growing... any input on this?

you could do that. personally i'd opt for at least 1 day of rest between. maybe two

    monday: chest/tri
    tuesday: back/bi
    wednesday: legs
    thursday: shoulders
    friday: legs

even if you're working different muscles, first of all they're all worked in squats so you don't wanna work them again the next day. secondly i think it's smartest to give your joints a days rest between working surrounding muscles... that's why I'd do

    monday: chest tri
    tuesday: legs
    wednesday: back bi
    thursday: legs
    friday: shoulders

i may be overanalyzing here... I just wanna save my joints so I don't work the same area of the body two days in a row, even if it's opposite muscles (i.e. lats vs. chest)

    no.

do it all in one session and let your legs rest & recover the next day.
