MIL Would it be a bad idea to wear these?

    so i got these boots as i gift from a family friend that is in the army, which is pretty sick because i was going to buy a different set regardless. But do you think it would be a bad idea to wear them when i report on the 3rd? they are authorized according to ar 670-1 but i know every post is different.

    If someone tells you they are not authorized, politely ask as to what regulation they are using.

    I wore those at Ft. Jackson, a TRADOC base...and didn't have any problems. And I'm in the Navy.

    they say they're comfortable, but i already have so many pairs of issued boots that I can't justify paying for some

    can actually try them on in a store somewhere?? I hate ordering boots online and then have to wait another month goin thru the trouble to get the right size.

    I don't know about Army Posts but AF Bases have a uniform place where you can try on PT gear, Uniforms, Boots etc etc.

    lol, easier said than done. unfortunately ive only been to places with shitty military clothing stores. ill prolly pick some up once i get back to the states.

    Once you get to Campbell you will have no problem finding a tactical clothing store. :rofl: There is one out each gate.

    I wear the oakleys...but then again I'm also authorized non-standard boots.
