I am considering this...would I be stupid?
since it's still a nikon, yes
depends what you think you need it for and how much cash is involved
D50 + $400
Pro body plus the ability to change all the settings on the body..I'm not really concerned with the MP count the 8fps is hawt
But the more I look into it I don't think I'm going to give up my D50...while the pro body would be great, I think the 50 is an awesome camera for what I'm doing right now.
I think I'll just wait and save up a little to get a D300.
that sounds smarter
d300 is pretty
Get a used D200 or get a D300. To be honest I don't love the sensor in the D2h and while 8fps is cool (I have 8.5fps in my 1D MK II) it's not something I see as a major issue. I basically use it when the shutter speeds are just below where I can reasonable hand-hold the camera because one out of 8 or 10 frames will usually be sharp when my hands and breathing are really steady.
Unless you shoot sports, etc, not sure you'll need it.
i wouldn't. the images from the d2h are really noisy.
I'm getting the D300 soon... can't wait.
the D2H will probably get replaced sometime in the near future...i'd get a d300 w/ grip instead.
I'm prob gonna get whatever replaces the d2h
I have both a D50 and a D2h, the ONLY reason I got the D2h was because I wanted the higher FPS. If I had it to do over I would have just gotten a new D200 or D300 now...
I have the 50 and the 300...
oh and I just bought a Tokina 12-24
everything is a go... ordering it next friday.
