Im a recent college grad whose working on the East Coast for free (internship). I dont have the funds to pay the costly price for a gym. What type of workout do you suggest. I jog around 2mi's a day come back and do 75 pushups & 250 situps.

I'm saving up to get some weights, but im not jumping into paying 40$ for 2 month's use.

Buy a set of dumbells. You can do so many different exercises with these.

Damn you are right grouch, that is cheap.. I didn't even read that. Cut out your fast food buddy, then you can partake in the use of weights.

You can usually get a 3 month membership at a gym for relatively cheap. Most gyms anticipate the mass amounts of college kids coming back for the summer and don't expect them to buy a full year membership. As long as its not a big commercial gym I'm sure you could negotiate something for 1-2 months as well.

Oh that and the old gym I used to go to had monthly payment plans which were like 22 or 28 dollars/month.

Yeah, not here. I've checked out two gyms. They want 100mo or 75mo. I'm like not worth it. As much as I would like too workout, i'll have to subside until i get some mula. Meanwhile, i'll look into getting the dumbbells. Thanks guys.

dumbbells cost as much as a gym. Thats why that reasoning doesn't make sense.

I am in a similar situation. I am in Florida for 10 weeks for training from my company. I just went up to the first gym I could find and the manager agreed to let me workout without signing a contract or paying an exorbitant application fee. I paid $100 for the 10 weeks (expensive compared to Seattle where I am based out of but they normally charge $39/month there with a $59 signup fee).
