I fractured a small bone in my wrist that is hard to heal due to lack of blood flow and I'll have a cast on it for 3 months. Then rehab afterrwards.

Should I still workout with the other side of my body or will it just create too many imbalances? I was thinking possibly just lower body stuff and cardio for a while and eating a moderate diet. This sucks!

Don't worry. Keep a good mindset, avoid using that hand/arm for anything for the entire 3 months, eat healthy and lots of calcium. You should recover just fine. I had an ankle fracture when I was 14 that was the same deal.... Had it gone any deeper in the spot that it was in I would have needed surgery... They planned on keeping the cast on for a few months but after 2 they decided it would be okay.

Just focus on enjoying yourself, you can gain back anything you lose in the few months. I wouldn't bother doing leg workouts, and I'd even be weary of doing cardio (could fall on treadmill, hit arm, etc... maybe riding a stationary bike would be cool).

i was just afraid id be stupidly disproprtionate with other arm...

all my good exercises involving holding a barbell. sldl, rdl, hack squats, etc etc. I was thinking I would just try sand bag lifting and carrying to increase gpp or something instead.

honestly your arms are gonna look disproportionate anyway when you get the cast off from atrophy.

    did you fracture your scaphoid?
