I have a friend who knows little about working out and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a basic 3 day routine for a woman? I am not within any distance to go and actually help her myself so I was hoping for something basic and effective. Thanks in advance.

women's muscles are completely different from a man's and under no circumstances should you let them do the same exercises

dumbbell curls and tricep extensions on the half-balance ball are basically the only exercises women can handle

it would be a really bad idea to give us some kind of idea about what her goals or fitness level is so that we could refer you to the faq

My fault, sorry about that. I do mainly workouts that are focused for more of a sports training routine and since I am not around I dont think she will be doing hang cleans anytime soon. She has a moderate fitness level at best but wants to lose fat but put on muscle ala just about every other woman. She knows basic exercises, I just want a proper split of upper/lower body exercises. Overall she really justs wants to be healthier. I already have cardio for her I was just looking a weight training routine.

I think women are better at a 7 day routine but if I were to condense it down to 3 it'd be something like this:

    mon: cook breakfast, lunch, dinner.
wed: cook breakfast, lunch, dinner. clean house
fri: cook breakfast, lunch, dinner. do laundry

and if she has some extra time after her routine you can have her pack some sack lunches for the days off.
