Workout crew help?

    Hey, I just got a gym membership because I finally broke down after my size nine jeans didn't fit this morning.

    Anyway, I was wondering if people on here could reccomend a basic workout that would tone and slim (along with diet). The gym that I got the membership to has a full range of cardio, free weights and machines.

    Help?

    In all seriousness, I could completely show you everything, however it is nothing more then extreme will power and self determination. That is what it boils down too.

    Don't starve yourself, eat healthier.

    Girls that do lunge-type exercises, and running are hot. I would take up Yoga, too. Does wonders for your flexibility as well as your self-image

    How often will you be able to go?

    Cardio is the most important thing that you'd want to do.

    List how many days a week and how long you can be there for.

    While I have to agree that lifting weights is a good idea I do not recommend that be her only form of exercise. Granted you burn more calories when you have more muscle, however females have alot harder time putting on muscle due to their low testosterone levels. I would recommend just about an even mix of both. Most females get in the gym and lift weights that are not challenging at all, therefore they would gain much more of a work out by sweating their ass off on a treadmill.

    I've been doing yoga for the past four years, so that's not really a question.

    If you can, do cardio everyday. Jogging on the treadmill for 30 minutes is great. Also, you can ride the stationary bike or even do rows. You should mix up your routines so you dont get bored.

    Lifting weights is good too before you do your cardio. Work with light weight because you want to get firm and toned. Side shoulder raises, dumb bell flys, tricep extensions, bicep curls, leg extensions, calf raises, lunges, and ab work are all good excersises for women.

    Definitely lift weights along with some cardio. Do squats and lunges for your butt. It will make it look terrific. I loved how my butt looked from doing them. Food is one of the most important things. Just watch your intake and keep your calories down.

    Bullshit.

    Like I said, I agree that lifting weights needs to be done and I will even go for as much as 50% of what she does in the gym needs to be weight lifting, however as I mentioned before she does not take advantage of the things that we do as men(Unless shes injecting). If we were talking about a guy, I would be in total agreement. Hell even Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler perform cardio 4 times a week precontest. Now why the hell would they do that, if they could just burn more calories lifting?

    Dont listen to this guy. He is partially right, but giving you wrong advice for your situation.
