workout addiction?

    does anyone else get really bummed out when they miss a workout or decide to skip one? I can notice definite mental changes when i don't get to do my committed routine. what does F&N think?

    i do. i feel like shit if i miss out on a workout day (like if i wake up too late and i have to start getting ready for work already)

    i don't think i should have used the word "addiction". it implies that it has a negative effect on your life. Unless you were spending so much time at the gym you were ignoring important aspects of your life (friends, family, work) i don't think it would be classified as addiction. I can't think of a fitting word to describe it though...
    if i don't go to the gym i feel really depressed and feel worthless for the day.

    oh in that case no. you shouldnt be spending all your time at the gym anyway. 1-1.5 hours a day is plenty.

    i bust out 15 minutes on the elliptical to get the blood flowing then 30-40 minutes of lifting

    i usu. just rub one out before i head to the gym. gets the blood going AND endorphin release ftw!

    Yes, and up until last year I went 7 days a week. 5 of those days would be actual workout days, the other 2 would be cardio. Did this for 4 years like a dumbass. Cut my workouts to a 4 days a week and 3 days off and my growth has been gradually increasing. More so in a year than the last 4 years.

    I don't think so, psychopathology is either causing a significant disturbance in relationships/work or a significant distress.

    being on spring break and not going anywhere wild ftl
    i'm supposed to meet up with some people at 9 and start preproduction on some film. i don't even know what its about yet....
