Ever since I started working out, I have had a friend spot me on the heavy weights. Our schedules have changed drastically and I am just going to start going by myself. Do you guys have any advice when working with heavy weights without a spot? I am pretty sure I will have less gains because I cannot push it as hard? Just any tips would be useful because I am not that strong and I want to make sure I am doing things the right way.

Or if you are too lazy to get a spot, use good judgement. Don't try and bench 300lbs if you've never benched 200 before.

I never ever really understood why anyone cant just ask someone for help, just say " Hey buddy you got a second? thanks"

University gym? Ours has about 10-15 people around just to give spots, help with form, etc.
