Is this a bad idea? I'm not too sick, just a sore throat and a little mucusy. Do you guys go to the gym when you are only a little sick? If I do go, I'll definitely be washing my hands in between machines to make sure I don't pass this throughout the gym because that would be fucking lame (I doubt I'm contageous anyway).

The bigger question I have is this: when you guys miss a day at the gym, how do you deal with it in regards to your routine? Do you combine the day(s) you lost with other days, do you skip it that week or what?

very bad idea. your body needs everything you have to get well. if you workout then your body has to use resources to heal your muscles. thats if you're sick sick

but if you're a little sick then its fine, prob just allergies.

its not that big of a deal to miss a workout. if i normally workout chest on tuesday and i miss tuesday, then i push my whole routine for the week back one day. so chest would be wednesday, legs thursday, etc.

I make sure I get into the gym when I'm sick, I always find that I feel better afterwards and feel alot better the next day.

Until it becomes a full blown illness and I feel like total shit, I usually continue my workouts through my illness and have always gotten over my colds pretty quick. I actually came down with a cold last tues, continued lifting and cardio and was fine by the end of the week.

I just make sure to give the equipment an extra wipedown with the provided soapy spray to try and minimize the spread of germs

I know what you mean, for me when I am sick and work out it's so much harder, but when you get well you feel so good cause you know the pain you had when you worked while sick.
