Is impossible. Whenever I work out my legs I am immobile for 3 days. I will be owned if I go to class with sore legs.

work them 2-3x a week with less volume, possibly in a Medium - Light - Heavy sequence throughout the week.

and i'd say just do fire academn specific training for the 11ish weeks you're in there.

drop me your email and i'll send you this pdf i found that has CPAT specific exercises you can do to prepare for the CPAT.

I take two cpats in october. Believe me the academy is making sure we pass them. I went to class once after leg day and I could barely climb a ladder.

Fucking assload. During the whole year you do: 700 ride time hours, 180 clinicals hours , 30 intubations, 24 pysch hours. Would I do it again? maybe

 yeah that's why I was wondering, I thought your county might be different. Sounds like a blast, I had fun in the trauma center for EMT, although we really couldn't do anything

    how old are you?

I'm 25. Medic school was fun as hell but I am just burnt out right now and need a vacation. I am going to get some :ugh: looks when I am a 26yo firemedic on the ambulance. So many patients thought I was 18.

well, from what I hear, they run 3 miles every day in the fire academy (provided i make it that far)

bro-n-law said the hardest part about the CPAT is the stair climb so I'm going to start working on that, somehow.

I was thinking about either wearing 2 backpacks with 25lbs each in them (one front, one back) and climbing the high school bleachers or just carrying 2 40lb dumbells and climbing the bleachers.

i figure once i can do either one of those, with almost no resting, for 10 minutes, i'll pass the stair climb easy. it'll maybe set me up for running easier too.

    dunno

there's some cpat pre-training guides on FFX county's website. i think the only thing i'm really worried about is the stair climb/cardio type tests (and the 3 miles a day)

so yea, i need to start running.
