working out just before going to bed = bad?

    due to scheduling stuff, i find it best to work out right before i go to sleep, anywhere from 8 to 11pm depending on the day. I usually eat right before i go (steelcut oats, some granola bars or something, milk) and then have a 1 cup of orange juice mixed with vanilla whey (22g of protein) when i come home and then crash.
    This is also convenient since my muscles have often failed by the time im home, i couldnt hold my arms above my head the other day when i got home from doing tricepts :rofl:

    So does it fuck with my body and hurt gains or is working out right before sleeping okay?

    i do it, i get my best work outs at night, im a night owl and get a second wind

    i think it's better to get more nutrients in your body before passing out

    yeah, i'd try to get in some post workout nutrition. maybe some cottage cheese or a shake and a few carbs. :dunno:

    i drink a mixture of whey and milk isolate after my workout before bed

    It helps me sleep sometimes. Other times it keeps me up(endorphines?).

    I usually work out at around 8 and I feel better and get better sleep. So I dont see anything wrong from that because it seems to work good.
