and I got a few hours near the end of the day to take some pics. Let me know what you all think. Of course PP suggestions are welcome, most of these are just some balance changes in lightroom before export.

this first one I edited a little more, I'll put the original below it. I don't know if I like my edited one..

I almost died taking this pic... A bum literally chased me for half a block for taking a picture near his home

Holocaust Museum. I've been to Dachau but I figured there might be some good photo opportunities in here.

Yea, if you have never been to a concentration camp or a holocaust museum I would highly recommend you go.. it's a kick in the gut. Takes about 3 or 4 hours if you really take your time and read the exhibits, listen to the commentary. They have video and audio from people that were on the ground there (all dead now pretty much). Hearing from the US Army private that first found Auschwitz and what he reported back and felt and all that.. it's really rough.

a little ot but when I went there and talked to a couple workers in the following months after it it first opened I heard some stories about ghosts from not only the workers but the security guards. This room is haunted and so is the rail car. There is a man who picks through the shoes in this room at night, and there is a little old lady in the rail car that sits in the corner and doesn't move.

Nice pics. My and my wife are leaving in a couple days to spend some time in DC. There's even a Kelby walk of DC while we will be there but I'm not sure my wife would appreciate that. I will make sure to check for bums before snapping.

I've never been personally, but my gf said pretty much the same thing. She said it's a very eye opening experience.

    Great pics!

:uh: My dates were mixed up and I see the walk was yesterday. I'm getting old. We were supposed to be in DC this weekend but had to postpone.

I think when we go, we will visit the Holocaust museum. I have been hearing it is really good.

They even managed to recreate the smell of the shoe factories in the slave camps. It's nauseating to say the least.

You got all the normal stuff, now take a walk down the canal path, or head across the river into Virginia and check out some lessor known spots. The old town sections of Culpeper, or Warrenton for example are well preserved for there historical role during the Civil War.
