WEB wordpress question

    im trying to put together a wordpress blog and am editing all of the css. but, i cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the "»" symbols on the widgets sidebar (ex: http://widgets.wordpress.com/ ). can anyone point me to the right place to edit out those damn arrows? :x:

    no clue, widgets ftl. I find them to be annoying, just use plugins and paste in the code

    I could probably tell you but I'll need more info. such as the specific install of WP you are trying to edit. It may be hardcoded into the sidebar.php of the theme you are using.

    2.5.1 i believe. newest version on their site, with the default theme.

    i went through all the css styles and set the list style to none for anything that had "li" in it, and still nothing. but i got what i needed changed and will just deal with the rest, not that big of a deal. :bigthumb:

    got as many of those as i could find and nothing changed. i finally got the "blogroll" section to change after just removing the ul and li tags from the loop statement. they also only show up in firefox for some reason. :confused:

    Alright.

    in style.css

    find:

    Code:
    .entry ul li:before, #sidebar ul ul li:before {
    	content: "\00BB \0020";
    	}
    
    and replace with:
    Code:
    .entry ul li:before, #sidebar ul ul li:before {
    	content: "";
    	}
    

    Or remove it altogether.

    its been so long since ive gone deep into css, i knew i had to have overlooked something.
