    is the db information correct?

maybe you need to increase the PHP memory limit

  4. yup everything is correct from what i could tell, i even tried entering in the wrong db info and it would bring me to the database error page.

how would i increase the php memory limit?

make a file called php.ini in your root directory and put this line in it

    memory_limit 16M

if a php.ini file already exists there, just add that line to it

    create/edit the wp-config.php manually.

  7. doesn't work, a complete re-upload doesn't work either. i really hope i can convince my bosses to switch hosting at today's meeting :hs:

  8. did that earlier, got the same blank page.

One thing that screwed me up once is that the DB is case sensitive - stupid detail but can cause probs.

whos your hosting provider? i know that hostgator has a couple-click install of popular scripts such as wordpress in their cpanel.

if you have cpanel try using the "fantastico de lux" feature if you have it

  12. the install is going on a yahoo small business account and hosting. but i am going to try and convince the boss to switch over to some new hosting because we've had nothing but problems with yahoo.

Can you post up your install file? Maybe you deleted a bracket or something :dunno:

Some shared hosts turn off all php error/warning reporting by default, could be the cause of a blank page.
Find the index or whatever file youre working with and try adding

    error_reporting(E_ALL); at the top

  15. still no go, not getting any errors on the page. i'm stumped here and i'm just going to assume that there is something going on with the yahoo business hosting and hopefully the bosses will switch over to something more reliable. :dunno:
