    1. You can modify your theme in /wp-content/themes/nameoftheme/.

    2. You cannot change the border color through CSS because the borders are images. You'll have to open these guys up in Photoshop and alter the jpgs.

    3. You can change your background-color by modifying the body tag and specifying a color. However, if you change the background-color, you're going to have to edit the images I posted above because they are part of the background color.

    Code:
    body {
    	[b]background: #FFFFFF;[/b]
    	color: #333333;
    	font-size: 16px;
    	font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Sans-Serif;
    	margin: 0px auto 0px;
    	padding: 0px;
    }

    look in the editor, there is usually a sidebar.php or something like that you can edit and add to it

    Your sidebar should already be added to the theme, as mentioned, in sidebar.php

    all you need to do is add the text widget plugin,
    http://support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/

    then just activate that widget, and you can put anything you want into the sidebar.

    A lot better than editing the theme i think.

    By the look of his current layout, he probably doesn't have a sidebar.php, so adding things to it won't exactly do anything.

    He'll have to modify his mark-up to support the sidebar before adding anything to it. I'd start there.

    if the site would load i would see, but it seems to be down right now for me

    yes, what i explained completely relies on his theme supporting sidebars.

    jesus dude get a new theme, that theme is made specially for a photograph blog to showcase photos, looking it up, it is a one column theme, so there is no sidebars(the first one I have seen lol)

    it would be too much work to add a sidebar, especially when you can find a better theme to do what you want, maybe more a newspaper theme to showcase the shit in

    :hsugh:

    sidebar.php is optional, and comes with all themes by default, as it is a file that WordPress searches for. That doesn't mean the theme supports it or it's usable in any manner, and this one looks like it isn't.
