    I've installed Wordpress in .com/wp instead of the root dir. I've forwarded my domain on Godaddy to .com/wp and masked it so it gets rid of wp. It won't access .com/wp and my host says it's the .htaccess file. This is what it currently shows:

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /wp/
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule .* /wp/index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    What am I supposed to have? I would like whenever someone puts in the domain it would go to .com/wp but not show wp.

    I dont see whats so hard about that.

  11. he wants each of his directories to have their own fake .com without the need to purchase new domains. if only it were that easy.

    no, i intend to purchase new domains. right now i have a wp install on my domain.com/wp. i've forwarded the domain on godaddy to point to domain.com/wp. i want to mask wp so it does not show up. as of now it's not doing that and i can't figure out why.

    Don't forward shit. Setup an addon domain in your cPanel and forward your domains name servers to the correct IP.

    thanks, now i got it. i didn't know you had to do "addon". I thought you could just forward a domain to a URL w/o doing that. i've always had two diff hosting packages for my two sites.
