After using the EF-S and EF-D screens for a while...
The grid is GREAT, it really helps my horizons.
The precision mat is...... meh... the slight increase in the ability to see where you're focusing (like 20% increase) is not worth the loss in light transmission (about 1 stop).
If I put my 10-22 or 100-300 f4 on the camera with the ef-s screen in it, the viewfinder is quite dark.
my 1d2 came with the ef-d installed
yeah I don't manual focus enough to really care, the grid lines will be though
