Hey everyone my First Xd came today :big grin: I got it used from XDFAN on http://www.hs2000talk.com/index.php This gun looks amazing. I took it apart and it looks as if it has never been fired :)

He only shot 50 rounds through the 9mm and 100 through the 40 barrel

XD 40 Service With the 9mm Conversion barrel came with lots of goodies.

Cant wait to get it to the range.

what are some mods you would do first?

    thanks

    Nice.

You just have to put in the 9mm barrel to convert it to 9mm?

I've ready a little about the conversion and so far the only things I've heard is to replace the barrel and get 9mm mags or modify your 40. I'm thinking about it so I can shoot my XD more.

YEah seriously right when i got it home. i opened the case took the slide off. Take out the spring put the 9mm in change the guide rod washer and put it back together takes less then 1 minute. You can use a 9mm mag fits perfectly. Or ive heard .40 work as well

Cool. I might have to get the stuff to do it. 9mm CCI ammo is $3.70 a box and .40 is like $9.80. Double the amount of 9mm for the same price.

I've been looking around on HS2000/XD talk and saw a couple threads with a little info about the conversion. It appears the 40 mags will work but aren't as reliable unless you bend down the feed lips a little. I'd rather just buy a couple 9mm mags and not have to worry about it.

I'd also like to figure out what mods I can do to my XD40 and still keep it legal for IPSC production class. I'd like to start shooting it once I get the equipment. They have a range that does an event once a month that's close to where I'm at and it's only $9 to enter I believe.
