    Stupid question....

Why won't my new PC play DVD's? When I pop one in, WMP10 says there is no decoder. Is it not recognizing my drive, or am I missing a plugin?

    Setup:
    ASUS A8N-SLI Mobo
    AMD Athlon 64 3500+
    Corsair XMS 512x2
    Seagate 200gb
    Radeon X800Pro 256mb
    Toshiba 48x CDRW/16x DVDRW

WMP10 does not come with a DVD decoder.

You'll most likely need a propgram like WinDVD or Cyber DVD to play DVD's.

Some DVDs come with the InterActual DVD player on them. Installing it on your computer will let you watch DVDs on it. It's a cheap, annoying program, but it's "free with purchase" and it gets the job done if you don't want to pay for good software.
