    KHOU.com staff report

HOUSTON -- A woman armed with a bow and arrow stormed into a northwest Houston business Monday and shot an employee, according to witnesses.

The arrow hit the victim in the torso, according to co-workers.

“I saw him with a bow and arrow in the side of the chest, just fading," said Alex Quiroga, the victim's co-worker. "The girl was running toward the building, the hallway.”

They said the unidentified man was loaded into an ambulance with the arrow still sticking out of his chest.

"Yea, was pretty scary," said Mike Barrera, a witness. "I just seen when they got him out of the building there and he had an arrow on the left side and he wouldn't fit inside the ambulance, so had to cut the arrow off to get him in."

It happened Monday afternoon at Texas Components, a micro electronics company located at 1662 West Sam Houston Parkway.

Witnesses said other employees of the business pulled out their own pistols and held the woman at bay until police arrived.

“When police got here, I gave them directions of what I saw and they surrounded the area," said George Dustin, another witness. "They moved in, there was half a dozen gunshots inside.”

A Houston Police Department spokesperson confirmed that an officer shot the female suspect after a brief standoff. It's not clear why she was shot.

She was also taken to an area hospital.

Police interviewed several witnesses at the scene.

the bow and arrow is a silent weapon that neither police nor innocent bystanders are able to hear. criminals could kill babies in broad daylight with nobody ever the wiser. these deadly weapons are constructed in a manner that intentionally ensures they make no sound, and the projectiles cannot be traced to an individual weapon. it is imperative that we act immediately to ban any further sale or construction of such weapons, register the remainder already in possession by the public, and enforce strict penalties against those who would move to break such laws. until such a time that bows are not in general circulation, we should microstamp and register each and every arrow sold and levy a tax on arrows to pay for the increased bureaucratic costs; owners of unregistered arrows will have one year to turn them in.

If you're going to get that picky, then people shouldn't say "shot with a gun", but "shot with a bullet".

Explain to me why the woman was shot if she was already subdued? And why did the other employees not take the bow away? (Or maybe they did, and she got shot anyway.)

No worries, I have a patented process that will microstamp arrows with serial number of the bow that they were fired from.

Whether true or not, that guys story seems fucked up with his actions.

    Double tapping over her head?
Compressing her wounds and then she gets up and goes to her bow again?

And I would probably be keeping my mouth shut if I fired any shots into an occupied office building until all investigations, etc. were done.

Maybe I'm just a skeptic when it comes to people like that.

Lol, guy talks about carrying all the time....methinks he needs to relearn what carrying means.

Sounds like a good shoot. To be honest though, if I had been in the same situation, I probably would have just gone for CoM :hsd:

Guy might be full of shit. Either way I think he's a retard. Office building ceilings and walls probably aren't the best backstop and the woman had a pistol and was trying to kill people.

I sure as shit don't want to be known as the guy that was standing there with a gun pointed watching 5 of my coworkers get slain.

And all that I'm saying is that if I'm firing shots, its not suppressive fire to get her to cover.

He could have very easily killed someone with that bullshit.

wow... that's an interesting story from the arfcommer. That brings up and interesting moral debate of having to kill someone that you know or is related to a friend of yours.

At this stage in the game, it was obvious she has the intent to kill and should be dealt with accordingly but it's easy to say that when I wasn't there.

She must be buff as hell if she was shot and still managed to fight a guy off of her and get back to her bow.
