Also, I would like something to put the computers to sleep at night on a network at a certain time. I was told of some software that does this but don't remember the name. Could anyone help me out here? Also, I need a WOL program for windows server 2008 if anyone knows of one.

Any suggestions at all? I know how to do this but I thought I'd ask first for any insight. I've read that WOL can cause havoc to systems.

Well putting into sleep mode is easy - just set a scheduled task to run and run this:

    rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState

on each computer. Not sure if it works in Vista btw.
