I have a hardrive partitioned in two, main OS and documents. Well anyways, my main OS had like 114 gigs, and I am using Photoshop right now, and the space has gone down to 109 gigs. :eek4:

Does Vista sucks so hard it has to virtually "borrow" space from the hardrive and never return it?

What I am trying to say is I am doing a resource demanding project on Photoshop and apparently, Vista is borrowing that space but never putting it back.

So, everytime I do something that takes resources, I always end up with less hardrive space.

wtf, Vista is full of fail.

That sounds like Adobe is creating temp files and not deleting them when it closes. Not a fault of Vista.

Where can I find those files and delete them?

I don't use Photoshop (just Fireworks), so aside from checking the usual places I don't know.

Usual places being C:\Temp, in the Photoshop folders, and in your Documents & Settings folders

Uhmm, I googled and apparently Adobe Photoshop creates a temp (just like you said) but it quickly disposes of it once you close it.

I am back to 113 gigs.:)

It actually works pretty well on a computer built for it; that's the problem with upgrading the OS after such a long lifetime with the previous version of the OS -- hardware specs have changed so dramatically since XP came out that Vista was built with a perfectly reasonable intention to use those newer specs, and older machines can't help but run like shit. You'd get the same problem running OSX on a machine designed for OS9.

That being said, Windows 7 is considerably less annoying when it comes to UAC issues.
