    Anytime I open a video file in Windows Media Player, the quality is shit. Some OTers have posted their own WMVs but they are fine, but its all the videos that I download from websites and what not that don't work properly.

    Even if I open a WMV in DivX, the quality is the same.

    Any ideas?

    Exactly what kind of problems are there?

    There is a known issue with nVidia 77.72 drivers when playing back videos. The colors are washed out.
    The fix for this is to either get the previous drivers or get the beta drivers.
    You can also use the workaround
    Display Properties->Settings->Advanced->nVidia card
    Color Correction
    Drop menu says Desktop, set it to All

    Some how I thought that might be it.
    I really wish nVidia would get the beta drivers released as the final version of it
