    i've been looking into getting a sub compact for carry and recently i got to play with my friend's g30 for a bit. the gun had surprisingly low recoil for being a sub and felt great to hold with the mag extension. I wanted to know what's your opinion on the g30? i was looking into a px4 subcompact to match my current px4 but that's been pushed back to january 08 :wtc:.

    g26 is smaller and lighter....i dont get the point of buying a larger subcompact and putting magazine extensions on it.

    isn't G30 the 10mm? that's gotta be at least a little tough to hold onto.

    .45 the 29 in 10mm its not that bad really. I've shot 40's that were much worse.

    29 = Subcompact 10mm
    30 = Subcompact .45acp
    36 = Subcompact Slimline .45acp

    The 29 is surprisingly easy to shoot, you think it's going to be a lot worse than it is.

    We shot some of the low powered stuff (I think he called them FBI loads?) first, then shot some double tap (I want to say it was 200g or so) and it still wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

    The 20 is even easier to shoot, once I get a subcompact it will be the next pistol I pick up.

    G30 is a great gun, I carry one daily. It's hard to beat 11 rounds of .45 in a package that size. The recoil is very light for a compact. The only downside is the thickness of the gun, it's a tad fat, but nothing you can't get used to.
