Our monthly "hide and shoot" match, aka IDPA brought out some of the NW crew. Chip, MG and I believe Cheeseburger came out to hide while we shot. :noes: those brown guys are unpredictable.

Chip came in with glazed eye's, nursing a hangover like this...:eek3:. And MG had a new gun, with new toys, tells me Santa came early. :bigthumb: Fun was had by all.

I won the match, placed 1st overall out of 75 shooters.

Glock 34 with some Glockworx go fast goodies. Actually a very nice trigger and is a significant improvement over stock. No creep, light and crisp.

Question: Why on some of the stages do you engage the center target first, then go to the edge targets? Why not just start at the side and work over, or do you have to engage them that way?

Per IDPA rules, targets when shot out in the open must be engaged by Tactical Priority, meaning shoot your closes threat first before engaging the other targets. It was also mandatory, per WSB (Written Stage Briefing) and it was a procedural if you engaged it any other way.

It's a mind fuck because as a IPSC shooter, I want to shoot it that way, but you really have to have your head in the game and shoot it as it's stated or you start to rack up the procedurals.

In IDPA, most everyone will shoot the stage the exact same way, what it comes down to is doing it faster and more accurate than the field.

Whew, hungover and unhappy, still did 17/30 in my division.

I'm going to need some practice on shooting distance with the glock, haha. Walmart seriously needs to get more ammo in so i can practice more than once a month at IDPA.
