i have had my 21SF for over a year now ... 18 months or so, and im just tired of the mushy trigger on it. i looked into changing this and swapping that and trying to fiddle with it with polish jobs and swearing and beating women with it ...

so i finally decided enough was enough, to start all over with a drop in kit.

so i broke down, and spent 200 on a GlockWorx Fulcrum Trigger ($180) assembly and Competition Spring kit ($8) ....

im hoping this will finally cure my mushy trigger (tried different springs, strikers, plungers, connectors, etc ... and all of those change the characteristics .. but didnt cure the mush)

it should be here early next week .... and ill give a report on it ... but tell me, have i lost my mind?

EDIT: black trigger red safety is what i ordered.

  2. You can't be that stupid as long as you have a Glock.

No, absolutely not. Next to a good set of sights, holster, ammo and training. I rank a good trigger up there with my gun "must have's".

I've not tried a GWX Fullcrum trigger, but I've got what used to be referred to as the best Glock trigger with a Vanek Trigger.

You can never fully imitate the clean and crisp break of a 1911/Single action, but you can defintely go really light with the Glock trigger. Careful with how light you go and spend plenty of time training on said light trigger. I've seen some crazy things happen to even experienced shooters with light triggers.

We had an AD with a very experienced shooter during a reload and the shot left the range. Scary shit. Says he didn't have his finger anywhere near the trigger guard, and he is an honest guy so I believe him. But he has a 1.5lb trigger pull on his Glock.

im going to see how it is ... their site sayd its about 2.5 lbs ... if its that light, ill add some weight to it. put on the stock trigger spring, keep the stock safety plunger and spring, etc ...

this is my daily carry, so i dont want a hairpin trigger with zero pretravel ... i just want the mush gone (or as close to gone as possible).

im hoping this will be the final stage on the trigger ... then its sights and a high noon holster ...

Seems good to me, the only guns I have that haven't felt like they could benefit from trigger work are my k-31's, all the rest could/have benefitted from it.

For some reason I really like the break on NY1 triggers. They're heavy of course but it seemed like a pretty clean snap, no mush - just take out, then bang. Am not a fan of light triggers myself.

never tried one ... i might get one just to try it out on the stock trigger.

i dont like excessively light triggers .... 3-5lbs is usually where i like it, but that depends on the weapon, also.

i just want this mush gone ... its sad that my airsoft has a more crisp trigger than my glock :o

quick update ... just got the trigger assembly in ... keep in mind this is my daily carry gun ...

full tear down of my Glock 21SF, full cleaning, and installation of the new trigger assembly and springs ... 30 minutes (usually takes me 30-45 for a cleaning :o )

right off the bat ... DAMN! the trigger has perfect pre-travel for my taste (close to half of stock), it is extremely light (2# striker spring right now ... its a little light for my taste so i might go with the 3# striker spring), and its amazingly crisp.

Finally, my quest to kill the 'mush' of my stock trigger is gone.

Yar, thanks for everything ... my roommate is going to be ordering one of your triggers soon :o You all did a great job with this trigger ... my only regret is that i didnt get it sooner. This trigger is, by far, the best accessory (aside from training) that i have for my glock ... and 'accessory' is pushing it ... i would call the GW Fulcrum Trigger an absolute necessity.

    kick ass, ray.

BTW ... loved the 'OTFTW' on the bottom of my invoice :bowrofl:

    WinRAR!!
