A+ thread bc im getting an iphone tomorrow :o

  3. I have a ton of apps that I've gotten since the AppStore went live last year, but I don't keep many on my phone since I hate having lots of app screens. Here's what I have on my phone now though.

    remote?

  5. It allows you to use the iPhone to control an AppleTV. You can use the phone's screen as a touchpad among other things.

I like using it for controlling my mac book, when it's hooked up to my stereo (rather than plugging the itouch into the stereo and having to walk over to it to change anything).

  7. I use Remote to make Laurel's iTunes play loudly when she's trying to do things on her macbook.

Bwahahahahah...... you wish. No $$ there dude.

I'm actually sitting here in front of XCode as we speak, about ready to fucking stab my computer because I'm tossing an exception from InterfaceBuilder which cannot be debugged through the XCode debugger, so I'm basically all kinds of fucked trying to take swings at it in the dark. FML, and fuck Steve Jobs. /end geek rant

We could do that too. I gotta do a bunch of DB design stuff once I get this done because the kid doing it currently has fucked everything up royally and has data redundancy problems across the map.

I really should study up on that stuff..... It's not my strongpoint. What do you do with it?

Where's HSmith at? I think he might have an app or two that he wrote in the store.

Tell us about it, and maybe I can buy 1000 copies and put it on the company account

  14. I just mostly write stored procedures when people want reports on things. I try not to do a whole lot with it. I also have the pleasure of digging around in tables and fixing issues that our operational software causes when things go wrong or when people fuck things up. For instance, if a salesperson creates the wrong kind of credit note I have to go in and edit data in something like 24 tables.

Here is the app to get for the iPhone in the WMD forum.

Knights Armaments ballistics calculator. Will even hook up with local weather stations using the GPS to get actual weather readings and take them into account for your adjustments based on the conditions the gun was actually zeroed at. Sweet.

  19. I haven't used that one, but Ballistic does the same thing with regards to the weather, and it looks a lot more polished. I <3 Ballistic.

Thought about going that route, but it really isn't an ideal dev. platform, and I'm afraid I would just be wasting my money.

Had a guy who was going to buy my current laptop, which would have given me funds to make a lateral move into a Macbook, but then I fucked up and dropped my laptop which bent up the corner of my case :wtc: Of course, that deal didn't work out after that incident.

Still amazes me that there really isn't a "cheap" way to get into a Mac. I had dinner with a regional sales guy trying to finagle something out of him, but he pretty much shot me down.

Yeah I downloaded that ballistics calculator but I don't really have a use for it so I deleted it.
