and what a fair price for it is

I'll pay a little more for a better quality kit, I just want a smooth feeding cheap way to shoot my new 1911 :bigthumb:

IIRC from when I was looking into getting a conversion kit the Marvel Precision was the most accurate but it didn't have the last round hold open like the advantage arms one. They cost the same though I think.

My buddy has a TacSol one coming in soon. he got it heavily discounted as long as we do a big writeup/review on it. Dealer price on mags are $50 though :hs:

Figures OT only recommends the hard to get and highest priced kits

Kimber actually looks like it has the best balance of price, quality and availability.

The Marvel stuff is pretty good.

I had one of those, and a Ceiner kit. My Ceiner shot fine; my buddies was a complete piece of shit. He ended up getting into a shouting match with Jonathon Ceiner at Knob Creek and threw his broken kit at him. Moral of the story, fuck Jonathon Arthur Ceiner.

I've heard so much shit about Ceiner but don't know where it started. I bought the CMMG AR 22 conversion instead of the Ceiner though just because of all the hate... figured there must be a good reason :noes:

Yeah, we needed one with a threaded barrel to see how it runs with my suppressor and he got hooked up by one of the local dealers.

I've heard a lot of good things about Marvel, Kimber, and AA makes good Glock kits so I would assume their 1911s are nice too.

I have a Ceiner for mine, but it was only that or a marvel available when I bought. i'd look at the AA's, I hear they're real nice.
