You need to look up the BC of the bullets you're loading/shooting.

A reloading manual or sometimes the manufacturer will have them listed on their website.

if its different for each manufacturer :dunno:

  8. Do you have a few BCs you need? Tell me what you want and I'll give them to you. I have a program on my iPhone that gives me all sorts of data. Just tell me the brand, weight, caliber, and what bullet "line" (like Match King, A-Max, etc...) it is.

    Examples:
    .308 Sierra Match King 175gr.
    .224 Hornady A-Max 75gr.

Do you know of any in-depth programs for WM that are like the one for your iPhone? I took a look at the one you're running and it's seriously badass.

I want, but I'm stuck with Verizon. :hs:

Well right now I'm just playing with it, I'm shooting Federal bulk pack 55grain .223, but eventually I'll be shooting Prvi 75 grain when I can buy a case.

The one I linked to is pretty awesome if you have ballistic coefficients, it even downloads weather data.

  12. Some guys on Snipers Hide were talking about this: http://ballcalc.sourceforge.net/index.html

I have never used it, or even seen it used, so I can't tell you anything about it.

Uh thats the program this thread is about. Theres a link in the first post

  14. And idea who makes the Prvi 75gr bullets? To be really accurate, I need to know specifically which bullets are being used, and that goes for the Federal bulk stuff too.

Anyways, ballpark #s... Fed bulk .223 with the 55gr FMJ BT rounds shows the BC being .269. M193 55gr bullets are shown @ .120BC, but that's using a different drag profile that is used seemingly only for military stuff, so I don't know if that's an Apples to Apples comparison.

Without knowing who makes the Prvi stuff, I can't do much, but here are some other 75gr. BCs for you to play with.

    A-Max .435
    Hornady BTHP .395
    Berger VLD .423

  15. Sorry. :o

    Get an iPhone.

I need to make a ballistics app for all the crappy WM devices.

Developing for them sucks soooooo bad though; Maybe I could just make a port to JBM.

Manufacturer is Prvi Partizan. The BC of the PRVI 75gr HPBT is .349 btw. This is my primary 223 bullet (Actually it's .224 so make sure you input that into your calculator too.)

Not sure which federal bullets are used in your bulk ammo but these are the numbers per Sierra infinity Suite (the balistic software I use)...
