wlan card for ibook ?

    any of you mac gurus know if it's possible to install a PCMCIA wlan card on an ibook, even though it's not supported ? and how hard would this be ? :noes:

    the port doesnt exist... so no, its not possible to install a PCMCIA card.

    on the other hand , which ibook do yo uyhave? all the white-cased ibooks supported an airport express inside of the keyboard... its super easy to install

    its an old ibook, only supports airport, not extreme therein lies the problem..where i live i can only get the new extreme version.anyway, is there any kinda wlan card you can get to work on an ibook ?

    most usb ones work.. but your stuck if you cant get an apple internal card -- there are no other internal cards that work.

    look online for the older cards.

    no, the new airport extreme card doesn't fit in the slot.....no worries though, i got myself an older airport card for a ripoff price of 10€ :cool:
