I think all of the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies have to be up there.
    Assassins (w/ Banderas and Stallone)
    The Professional
    Predator is def. up there.

Independence Day is an honorable mention

  18. Equilibrium

Just to add one more to the all Excellent mentions

I like Verhoeven, but he's no Cameron.

    In no particular order.

    Terminator 2
    Predator
    The Rock
    The Matrix
    Die Hard
    The Fifth Element
    Robocop (Directors Cut)
    Private Ryan

    I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple.

For those who mentioned Hard Boiled. I rented this movie over the weekend, first time seeing it. The DVD was horrible. All the sound tracks were fucking mono!

John Woo's American movies have impressed me more.

    In no order

    Braveheart
    Robocop 1/2/3
    Terminator 1/2
    Starship troopers
    The Fifth Element
    Rambo 1/2/3
    Rocky 1/2/3/4
    LEON
    Desperado

and most of what you guys already mentioned, ronin just for the pure car scenes is worth it, I got a feeling bad boys 2 is going to be even better then the first one, i can't wait.
