I'm starting the Apple TV hard drive upgrade right now. I'm doing it on my macbook and it should take about 8 to 16 hours depending. I'm taking the www.appletvhacks.net route of upgrade. here's hoping I don't fuck things up along the way. I should have the apple Tv image by 11pm tonite. I'm gonna start the transfer by then and the new drive should be ready by at the most 7 AM tomorrow.

also, people have been wondering about the fan well, here it is:

it seems to blow onto the medal around the sides.

after several factory restores with no luck. I used iPartition and opened up the media partition. I now have 88.25GB of media storage with a 100Gb Seagate drive (ST9100828A) it took 4 hours to download 21GB of Media over to the drive compared with 8 hours with the stock apple tv drive. overall, I’m pretty happy with the new drive + the heat seems to be the same to me so i won’t worry too much about that.

    troll much do you?:squint:
