how bad will it be i have to get 4 removed, 2 which are impacted >_< anyone who had them removed, were you out of the gym long or did it affect your diet a lot?

the oral surgeon had me watch a video and it said in rare circumstances that if a nerve was cut, a person could potentially permanently lose feeling/taste in their tongue or/and lip.

personally i've heard only a day or two to recover but some a week thats why i thought i'd ask to get more opinions. thanks

You'll need a day or two to recover. I tried to go in to my desk job the day of, and was too dizzy from the gas they put me out with. Relax, and enjoy the pain pills they give you.

I'd stay out of the gym for almost a week.. Don't want them to start bleeding with the increased blood flow.

i had all 4 out, they told me not to elevate my heart rate for a week to keep the bleeding from starting back up.

i had a dry socket and bled for 3 days straight tho.

When I had mine's removed I had an extreme reaction to the general anasthetic and was pretty much out for 3 days. Family doctor had to make a house call and told my folks to wake me up every few hours.

I think I was back in the gym 4 or 5 days later, but I had a very good surgeon and my mom kept my face iced down when I was out so that I didn't even swell.

Oh god no. I had general and went under, but I woke back up at home later on that day. I had surgery first thing (like 8 or 9 am) and remember breifly waking up around 3 or 4. My mom said I was concious when she was wheeling me out to the car coming out of anestesia, but I got violently ill coming out, and I don't remember any of it.

I'm having 2 wisdom teeth pulled in about 3 weeks. I dont know if i should look forward to getting rid of them (there's a good chance they're the cause of my migranes) or nervous cuz i've never had any kinda surgery done before.

    :noes:

Dont sweat it, you wont remember a thing. You will feel like you weren't even out. You dont dream or anything when you are "under".

Sweetness. I hope i'm concious afterwards tho... i'm twice my fiance's size, and it'll be hard for her to get me into/out of the car if i'm as out of it as Ricey described his experience.

most people can just walk out fine....haha my 280 lb friend tried to drive himself home when his mom was trying to get him in the car.
