I have 2 sets of component speakers. Both 4ohm. I intend to run both sets up front and use my sony 6x9's in the back. Now placement wise I can do it, however I want to run them off the same amp. Im running amp at half power right now because its only getting a 4ohm load, so if I wire em in parallel Ill get it down to 2ohm and get 275rms/channel (137.5 right now).

Only problem is they are different brands. They both have independant crossovers, a big cone and the tweet. I never thought of it to be a problem, but figured Id ask beforehand. I know amp is capable of 275/channel at 2ohms

edit: both sets are good for over 100rms each anyways. 250peak (per speaker) but if its 2 speakers on 1 channel it wont get near 250 peak each (itll have to peak 500 on each side for that to happen)

shouldn't be that big of a deal, just make sure that you don't have any clipping

Well teh MB Quarts have clip protection, they have a little DC light that lights up when the amp maxxes out, but the Hollywood Digital Excursions do not (as far as I can tell anyways) With 4 speakers up front instead of 2 im sure I wont need the gain set as high anyways
