Wiring 3 8ohm subs???

    HOw do i wire 3 8 ohm subs ????? Also if my amp runs down to 2 ohm's how would i wire that to?? By the way the amp is a Rockford Fosgate 500.2!!

    Assuming they are SVC, wiring in parallel yields to 2.67 ohms.

    Beware... RF is not rated to handle 2 ohm mono loads. What's stated in the literature is 2 ohm STEREO operation. Big difference. The amps will handle 2 ohm mono just fine, but if by some chance the amp fries and you tell them you had it running at 2 ohm mono, they won't warranty the unit for you.

    Are you using the 500.2 (pre '99) or the 500a2? If you're using the 500.2, it should handle the 2.67 ohm load. But, it will pull ALOT of juice from your electrical system. I have the 500.2 with a 90 amp alt and an optima yellow top battery running 4 ohm mono and my lights dim quite a bit at high volumes.

    Are your subs 8 ohm SVC or DVC?

    Mya amp is an RF POWER 800.A4 the subs are MTX6000 8 ohm subs
