    im trying to set up a wireless router and everytime during the setup process the computer tries to establish an IP address in the router, it says it cant find a connection? ive tried to powering on everything in the order it suggests and all the cables are connected properly, any suggestions?

    Your router assigns IP address(s) to your computer(s) through DHCP.
    Your explanation of the problem isnt very clear, you shouldnt have to install any software on your computer in order to set up your router.
    1.If you have a network cable try hard-wiring your computer to the router and see if you can get an IP address
    2. Set up a Static IP address and enter the configuration of the router/update the routers firmware
