okay so i have an Encore IEEE 802.11G pc card/pci adapter...and my internet connection is always cutting out on me. sometimes it will sustain a connection for as long as 2 hours...sometimes as short as 10 minutes. I've played with the settings and nothing seems to work. Even turning off Authentication Enabling doesn't help :sad2:

is it just because i have a shitty adapater or is there something i'm doing wrong? keep in mind i gain access to the network through my brother's computer. his is the one directly hooked up to the modem.

What wireless router are you using? What is the positioning of the router in relation to your computer?
